What doe we think the world owes us?

It's been my biggest pet peeve of this decade that most individuals have replaced accountability with an inflated sense of entitlement. News Flash: The world does not owe us a living, let alone all of our heart's desires. Our actions make ripples that can have consequences that reach far past our immediate gratification.

Accountability-Definitely not the last post on the subject


Endemic to North America right now is a distinctly apparent lack of accountability, be in personal, corporate or governmental. Perhaps a direct result of material affluence, people scarcely think about where those thing that they habitually enjoy and take for granted actually come from.

The social network is stretched to the maximum tension. The number of able-bodied individuals living on employment ensurance in Canada is patently ridiculous. Corporations lay off scores of employees citing fiscal problems avoid paying severance, and then pay themselves whopping bonuses.

Where is the accountability? I'm sure I will think of more later, but at the bare minimum it introduces a poignant subject for further discourse...
